Gafar came to African & Caribbean Diversity in 2008 on sheer determination to do something more. Born and raised in Hackney, London, he studied at St. George’s RC School and finished with strong GCSE results.
Gafar was matched with ACD mentor Franck Gomboc from J.P. Morgan in 2010. Since then, he has remained in contact with his mentor even after graduating from ACD’s programme in 2012.
After A-Levels, Gafar took a gap year and worked as a Functional Analysts at ING. He is currently working towards his Bachelors of Arts degree in social policy at the University of Nottingham.
Gafar loves politics and is aspiring to build a career in finance. He continually seeks opportunities to grow as a professional through work experience and internships.
