Damilola Muyi-Opaleye, ACD 2009

Damilola joined African & Caribbean Diversity in 2009. When she joined, she didn’t know a lot about ACD or its programmes, she just knew that it was an opportunity for me to meet other young bright people and go to Cambridge University. For Damilola, Cambridge was such an amazing experience.

[pull_quote_left]My cohort became a little family, we bonded and learnt so much with so many great speakers, I loved every bit of it.[/pull_quote_left]

Damilola credits ACD for helped her finding herself and realise her true potential. Currently, Damilola works in the City of London where she is a Trainee Legal Executive on the school leavers programme at Fieldfisher. In 5 years, she will qualify as a lawyer and be kept on at the firm where she will practise. Her main legal interest is in employment law, but she also has a passion for families and family law. Her long term goal is to make partner one day.

[pull_quote_left]”I definitely would not be where I am today if it wasn’t for ACD.  With ACD, I obtained my first professional work experience at Withers LLP which ignited my passion for law. ACD also helped me in receiving an internship from Citibank – all experiences which highly impressed my current employers. I will forever be grateful to Brenda and the whole ACD team for all the help they have given me, all the lessons I have learnt with ACD will remain with me.” [/pull_quote_left]
