London, 19 December 2013: African & Caribbean Diversity has joined charities in the Voluntary and Community Sector (VCS) of Southwark to promote the impact and necessity of these organisation’s work in the borough.

The campaign, organised by Community Action Southwark and Healthwatch Southwark, is asking the question “what if your charity didn’t exist?” in an effort to highlight the financial and non-financial plight faced by many of Southwark’s VCS organisations.

According to Community Action Southwark,  one in ten (11%) charities in Southwark feel they are at risk of closing this year. And over half (52%) are facing challenges but ready to deal with them in a productive way.
